Affiliated Organisations

Affiliated organisations are normally unincorporated student-related bodies that are officially recognised by the University.

To become an affiliated organisation, the members of the body must complete an application form. If approved, the affiliated organisation will need to maintain up-to-date contact details and complete an annual review. Information about approved affiliated organisations will be provided to the University's insurers.

Bangladesh Students Association

The objective of the Bangladesh Students Association is to determine and represent the interests and views of members, the University, the international students of CDU, other students’ societies or associations and the Bangladeshi community as a whole. Encourage and facilitate social, intellectual, and competitive exchange between students of the University. But in its foundation, the club exists to practise cultural exchange within and with the community around.

Flycatcher

Flycatcher is a student magazine at Charles Darwin University. Flycatcher is a magazine whose content is written by students of CDU and other people of the Territory, which aims to be a voice, creative outlet and source of information for those who attend the university and live in the Territory, irrespective of age, course or interests. Flycatcher is run by a team of predominantly student editors at CDU, with the support of a number of Darwin creatives.

Lakeside Drive Community Garden

The community garden is located at Charles Darwin University Casuarina Campus on a two acre site on Lakeside Drive in Alawa. The garden is driven by a dedicated team of volunteers and supported by the Office of Community Engagement at CDU.

Lunchtime communicators is an open group that meets at the Casuarina campus. Toastmasters can help you gain self-confidence through improving your public speaking skills.

The group meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 12 - 1pm in Blue 3.1.12.

Muslim Students Society

The Muslim Student Society was formed to bring Muslim students at CDU together. The various events throughout the year benefit not only the Muslim students at CDU but also the wider community. Since our beginning in 2015, we have held a multi-faith program, a movie presentation and many different small informative sessions on how to deal with Islamophobia.
