Subpoenas and summonses are issued either by a court at the request of a relevant party or tribunal, or a similar body such as the Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal or regulator such as the Australian Crime Commission.

Any subpoena or summons that is received must be immediately brought to the attention of the Director, Strategic Services and Governance as it is critical that these documents be responded to in a timely manner by the University.
