Research Systems and Performance

In recent years there has been increasing focus on the evaluation of research and research performance, in Australia and worldwide.

Research activity is measured and analysed in a number of areas, including research staffing numbers, research outputs (publications and creative works) and citations, research grants and other income, and research training (particularly research higher degrees and career development), and the impacts of research.

The Research Systems and Performance (RSP) team look after the collection, analysis and reporting of the University's research activity information.

The team coordinates the University's submissions for Commonwealth reporting on research activity (including the annual HERDC and the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) submissions).

It undertakes strategic and continuous improvement projects related to research activity and provides reports to the CDU Research and Research Training Committee on various aspects of research activity.

The RSP team also administers the University's research information systems, including SRS and other research activity databases.
