Pascal has undertaken research in a number of domains in his professional career. These have been mainly in economic analysis, tourism business and marketing. They include evaluation and assessment of policies and strategies to enhance economic capabilities in northern Australia and addressing workforce challenges, including in Aboriginal communities.
He has contributed applied research (academic publications and consultancies) related to tourism, transport infrastructure, health, education, resources and extractive industries, agri-business supply chains, government procurement, financial/economic literacy, the arts sector, protected areas, wildlife management, and others.
Dr Pascal has supervised doctoral work linked with tourism, entrepreneurship and innovation, industrial networks, joint ventures, risk governance around major resources projects, aquaculture in South-East Asia, policy analysis, and more.
